The acoustic canopy helps protect the generator from the elements while reducing operating noise to approximately 70 dB(A) at 1 metre, or 63 dB(A) at 7 metres. For safer and more practical diesel storage, the ED9KYE/3-400 includes a fully bunded fuel tank compliant with AS 1940-2004, providing secondary containment to help retain and recover spillage if required. A trickle charge battery charger is also fitted to help ensure the generator is ready to start when needed.
The standard auto-start control module supports local or remote starting and provides key protection and monitoring functions, including alternator frequency and speed sensing, generator/load power monitoring, accumulated power monitoring, generator overload protection, engine speed protection, run-time scheduling, battery voltage monitoring, and static battery charging. It can also be configured to operate with an Automatic Transfer Switch for automatic standby power applications.
