The Welling & Crossley ED9KYE/3 9kVA Three Phase Standby Diesel Generator is a compact diesel backup power solution designed for sites that require dependable three phase power during a mains outage. Powered by a proven Kubota D1105 diesel engine and paired with a Crossley SLG series single bearing, 4-pole brushless alternator, this generator is built for standby applications where reliability, durability, and consistent performance are critical.
Supplied as a fully integrated Welling & Crossley power generation system, the ED9KYE/3 comes complete with a remote start/stop control system, 90 litre diesel fuel tank, auto-start control module, and weather protective acoustic canopy. This makes it well suited to rural properties, workshops, commercial sites, small industrial applications, pumps, machinery, and essential equipment requiring three phase backup power.
The acoustic canopy helps protect the generator from the elements while reducing operating noise to approximately 70 dB(A) at 1 metre, or 63 dB(A) at 7 metres. The complete generating set is mounted on a heavy duty fabricated steel base frame, with anti-vibration pads fitted between the engine, alternator, and frame to help isolate vibration and support smooth, stable operation.
For safer and more practical diesel storage, the ED9KYE/3 includes a fully bunded fuel tank compliant with AS 1940-2004, providing secondary containment to help retain and recover spillage if required. A trickle charge battery charger is also fitted to help ensure the generator is ready to start when needed.
The standard auto-start control module supports local or remote starting and provides key monitoring and protection functions, including alternator frequency and speed sensing, generator/load power monitoring, accumulated power monitoring, overload protection, fuel and start outputs, engine speed protection, run-time scheduling, battery voltage monitoring, and static battery charging. It can also be configured to operate with an Automatic Transfer Switch for automatic standby power applications.
