The Welling & Crossley ED9PYE/3-400-LB 9kVA Three Phase Standby Diesel Generator is designed for sites that need reliable three phase backup power, extended fuel capacity, and improved engine loading during lighter demand periods. Powered by a trusted Perkins 403D-11G diesel engine and matched with a Crossley SLG series single bearing, 4-pole brushless alternator, this generator is built as a fully integrated standby power system for rural, commercial, workshop, and light industrial applications.

This model includes a 400 litre fuel tank and an integrated load bank, making it especially practical where the generator may run for extended periods or regularly operate under light electrical load. The load bank automatically applies an artificial load when site demand is low, helping reduce the likelihood of engine glazing and supporting better long-term engine performance.

The ED9PYE/3-400-LB is supplied complete with a remote start/stop control system, auto-start control module, weather protective acoustic canopy, and heavy duty base frame. The canopy protects the generator from the elements and reduces operating noise to approximately 70 dB(A) at 1 metre, or 63 dB(A) at 7 metres, helping make the unit suitable for a wide range of standby installations.

For safer on-site diesel storage, the generator includes a fully bunded fuel tank compliant with AS 1940-2004, providing secondary containment for spill retention and recovery.
