The Welling & Crossley ED12KYE/3-400-LB 12kVA Three Phase Standby Diesel Generator is a complete standby power package designed for sites that require reliable three phase backup power, extended fuel capacity, and added protection against light-load running. Powered by a proven Kubota V1505-E2BG diesel engine and paired with a Crossley SLG series single bearing, 4-pole brushless alternator, this generator is built for dependable performance across rural, commercial, workshop, light industrial, and essential equipment applications.

This model includes a large 400 litre bunded diesel fuel tank and an integrated load bank, making it especially practical for applications where the generator may run for extended periods or where site loads may vary. The load bank automatically applies an artificial load when electrical demand is light, helping reduce the likelihood of engine glazing and supporting optimal long-term engine performance.

Supplied as a fully integrated Welling & Crossley power generation system, the ED12KYE/3-400-LB includes a remote start/stop control system, auto-start control module, weather protective acoustic canopy, and heavy duty fabricated steel base frame. The acoustic canopy helps protect the generator from the elements while reducing operating noise to approximately 73 dB(A) at 1 metre, or 65 dB(A) at 7 metres.

For safer and more practical diesel storage on site, the generator includes a fully bunded fuel tank compliant with AS 1940-2004, providing secondary containment designed to retain and recover spillage if required. Anti-vibration pads are fitted between the engine, alternator, and base frame to help isolate vibration and support smoother operation.

The standard auto-start control module supports local or remote starting and provides key monitoring and protection functions, including alternator frequency and speed sensing, generator/load power monitoring, accumulated power monitoring, overload protection, engine speed protection, run-time scheduling, battery voltage monitoring, and static battery charging. It can also be configured to operate with an Automatic Transfer Switch for automatic standby power applications.
